5 new Nollywood movies you should see this December

"The Wedding Party 2," and four other Nollywood movies you should see in the cinema this December.

Pulse Movies has rounded up movies coming to the cinemas in December, including Kunle Afolayan's "Celebrity Marriage," and Niyi Akinmolayan's anticipated "The Wedding Party 2."

Check out five Nollywood movies you should see this month.

1. "Guyn Man"

Detailing the lives of best friendssince university; Anaya Ekiye and Ikechukwu Mordi Jnr., the story is woven around their simple yet complex relationship and raises the question: ‘Can friends be in love and not know it?’

"Guyn Man" is out in cinemas on Friday, December 1, 2017.

2. "The Bridge"

"pairs Demola Adedoyin and Chidinma Ekile as Obadare, a Yoruba prince, and Stella, a young lady from a distinguished Igbo family, respectively.

Their relationship is threatened by tribal prejudice and parental plans for each's life. When the couple secretly weds against their parents' wishes, the consequence shakes the very foundation and sustenance of both families.

Directed by Kunle Afolayan, the movie will make its debut on December 8, 2017.

3. "The Wedding Party 2"

A sequel to the highest grossing Nollywood movie yet, " follows the romance between Nonso Onwuka and Deirdre; the bridesmaid from London.

The sequel features Sola Sobowale, Daniella Down, RMD, Ireti Doyle, Ali Baba, Ikechukwu the Rapper, Enyinna Nwigwe, Beverly Naya, Saka, Banky W, Adesua Etomi and Somkele Idhalama.

New additions include Patience Ozokwor, Chiwetalu Agu, Chigurl and Seyi Law.

The movie will debut in cinemas on December 15, 2017.

4. "Wives on Strike: The Revolution"

Just like its prequel, "Wives on Strike: The Revolution" follows the story of a group of market women, who decide to take matters into their own hands for a good cause.

The sequel stars Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Aimakhu, Sola Sobowale, Omoni Oboli, Kenneth Okonkwo, Julius Agu, Chioma Chukwuka, Uche Jombo and Ufuoma McDermot.

The movie will make its debut in cinemas nationwide on December 29, 2017.

5. "Accidental Spy"

In the a "Tech Savvy" Nigerian becomes entangled in a reality show mix up with Nigerian's most infamous Cartel, without even realizing it.

Starring AY Makun, Ramsey Nouah, Rahama Sadau and Ali Baba, the movie debuts in cinemas on December 1, 2017.
