1. The 69th annual Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 11 to May 22, 2016.

2. Australian director George Miller, who premiered his movie "Mad Max: Fury Road" at the Cannes in 2015, was announced as the president of the Jury for the main competition.
