Organizers of Kannywood event call for entries

The 2016 Arewa Music and Movie Awards is a platform aimed at ensuring a greater Kannywood.

CEMS Nigeria, a leading events and artistes management firm is announcing the call for entries to the 2016 Ammawards Season 4 and official flag off.

AMMA Award is an annual accolade instituted in 2013, by CEMS Nigeria, as a medium to recognize outstanding achievement in Movie, Music, TV, radio, and talents across Arewa, the Northern Nigeria.

The Kannywood Industry is brimming with exciting talents, and CEMS Nigeria is aimed at contributing to the industry by not only giving the talents the medium to showcase their skills and passion, but by celebrating their achievements while also encouraging them to continue honing their crafts.

The underlying idea of this award is to keep the creative industry tempo among the players this has been the driving force for Ammawards.

The fourth season of AMMA will award artistes in 45 categories, 24 categories for movie, 13 for music and 8 people’s choice category meant for online vote. Some categories have also been changed to meet International Awards Standard, the new categories are Adapted Screenplay, Original Screenplay, and Short Film.

For the music category, there are new categories like Rookie artistes of the year, music producer roots and contemporary. People’s choice category has AMMA celebrity of the year both male and female category.

Recognizing and appreciating media stations who has been of tremendous support to AMMA from season 1 to date, there will be a best radio station and best entertainment programme of the year both (radio and television) category.

The third season of Ammaward had winners like Ali Nuhu as best actor with the film "Nasibi," Nafisa Abdullahi as the best Actress with "Da’iman," among other respected winners.

Artistes, Producers, Production Companies or record labels wishes to participate, should pick their entry forms at Aisha Discounted Electronics No. 4 Zoo Road Opp. First Bank, Kano.

Movie, music or any materials/projects must be original or professionally adopted. Submission of entries ends February, 5, 2017.
