Actress becomes 1st Ghana celebrity to become verified on Instagram

Ghanaian actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson has become the first female Ghanaian celebrity to get verified on online mobile photo/Video sharing social networking service, Instagram.

Nelson beat other top fellow country celebs and fan favourites like Van Vicker, John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah and Sarkodie.

The actress, who celebrated her 30 birthday last week Thursday, November 12, currently has 849 thousand followers on Instagram.

Yvonne joins the growing list of African entertainers who have gotten Instagram verification, which includes Genevieve Nnaji, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Diamond Platnumz and recently Don Jazzy.

Yvonne Nelson recently featured  in a new movie by Liberian-born Ghanaian actor and producer, Eddie Watson, titled "She Prayed."

The movie stars Eddie Watson, who also produced and directed, Pascaline Edwards, Yvonne Nelson among others.

"She Prayed" tells the story of a Christian mother whose only son turned into an atheist.

The movie will premiere in Liberia on December 5, 2015, at Country Lodge, Freetown.

The premiere will have actors like  Majid Michel, Melvin Oduah(BBA), Beverly Osu(BBA) and Michael Bonny Bassey(BBA)  in attendance.
