Within the last three years, Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has shot up to the top of the movie industry apex in Nigeria.

Her popularity has risen the same time the movie industry in Ghana has grown in profile, and stature. In the Gold Coast that has produced beautiful movie stars such as Jackie Appiah, and Nadia Buari, Yvonne Nelson has been able to make her face the identity of Ghanaian entertainment.

The 29-year-old slim and sexy bombshell, and former Miss Ghana started her film career when she starred in the TV series Fortune Island. She made her movie debut shortly after.

In 2007 she made her Nollywood debut starring alongside Nollywood amazon Genevieve Nnaji. After starring in over a hundred movies and taking home awards, Yvonne Nelson is a household in West Africa.

A bonafide celeb, her personal life often makes the headlines- most notably her relationship with Iyanya and Ice Prince. She recently denied that she ever dated Ice Prince.

Using her celebrity status for good, Yvonne Nelson has been a strong mouth piece against the state of power supply in Ghana.

After the deadly flood in Ghana, she gave out relief materials and donated money to the victims.
