Actor Will Smith thinks about running for US president because of Donald Trump's anti-Muslim statements.

Hollywood actor Will Smith said he is considering running for the office of the President of the United States.

The top actor revealed his political ambition last week during an interview with CBS correspondent Tracy Smith.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena” said the actor.

Will Smith was referring to Donald Trump and his outrageous statement that he would ban Muslims from entering the United States if he gets elected.

“I gotta be the President. Come on! What else would I run for?” added Will Smith.

Last month Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smithattended the premiere of his latest movie .

The movie, Concussion, is a true story in which Will plays Dr. Bennet Omalu, the brilliant forensic neuropathologist, who discovers and exposes an epidemic of football related brain trauma.

The movie hits cinemas in the U.S. on the 25th of Dec and co-stars Alec Baldwin and Luke Wilson.
