Comedian grants 1st TV interview post car crash recovery

Tracy Morgan has opened up about the fatal car crash that almost took his life in a new TV interview with The Today Show. It aired on Monday June 1.

At the beginning of the segment, the 46-year-old actor said, ''I can’t believe I’m here. I can’t believe I’m in front of you. I can’t believe I’m just here, and just seeing the tragedy that happened. It touches me.''

He also spoke out about how he feels about his friend,comedian James McNair, whom, unfortunately died in the crash.

''The case is settled, but the pain is always going to be there for Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal… [Mac] was a close friend of mine, a comrade in comedy. He was a loving man, and he was a warm man. He was a good man. It’s just hard for me to see that he’s gone,'' Tracy said.

About is current state of health, the actor revealed, ''There are times where I have my good day and my bad days, where I forget things. There are times where I get the headaches, and the nose bleeds. I won’t even let my lady know because I don’t want her to be worried about it.''

Tracy suffered severe brain damage and broken bones in a horrible car crash on Saturday, June 7 in New Jersey when his limousine was knocked off the road by a Walmart truck.

After suing the company in July both parties reached a settlement only later in May.
