Yesterday, July 26, 2016 Nigerian actress Toyin Aimakhu, 31, visited Ahmed Mayowa Shukurat who has been diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian cancer.
Actress pleads to save life of woman with Ovarian Cancer
Popular actress Toyin Aimakhu has joined the campaign to save the life of Ahmed Mayowa Shukurat who has stage IV Ovarian Cancer.
Last weekend Mayowa's heartbreaking story went viral as she is presently pleading for funds to save her life. She needs thirty-two million Naira to save her life and has been able to raise over 6.5 million Naira.
Toyin Aimakhu has now lent her voice to ensure that Ahmed Mayowa Shukurat is able to raise the money needed to save her life. The Nollywood actress visited Mayowa at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in Idi-Araba, Lagos.
"This is Mayowa. I don't know her. I have never met her. The only thing I know about her is that she is my fan. I am an actress and I believe this is the time to use my voice. We need your help" said Toyin Aimakhu in a passionate plea to save Mayowa's life.
In the Instagram video she further said "I'm going to use my voice. She is my fan. This is the first time I am seeing her. She is young, she is pretty..." Toyin Aimakhu then consoled Mayowa who started crying in the video.
During her visit Toyin Aimakhu also played with Ahmed Mayowa Shukurat and cheered her up.

On July 21, 2016 Toyin Aimakhu spoke about her split with . "In the end we are both at fault. I held on too tight and he didn't hold on enough" she wrote on her Instagram page.
