Nigeria's top music diva clocks 35

Nigeria's number 1 female Tiwa Savage has much to celebrate as turns a year older today.

Tiwa Savage, leading Nigerian female artiste turned 35 today February 5, 2015.

Tiwatope Savage has risen to being one of the most successful Nigerian pop artistes signed on to Don Jazz's Mavin Records.

The Lagos State born diva moved to London at a young age where she begun to sing professionally. She was a back up singer for internationally renown musicians George Michael, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Bunton, Kelly Clarkson and others.

Tiwa enrolled in the prestigious Berklee College of Music and graduated with a degree in professional music. In the year 2006, she participated in  X Factor UK.Sony/ATV Music Publishing signed Savage to a music deal in 2009 after which she wrote it songs for  American artistes Babyface, Kat Deluna, Fantasia Barrino, Monica and Mýa.

After years of living in America, herself and manager decided to return to Nigeria and since then she captured and dominated the Nigerian entertainment industry with her doro -sexiness. She has risen to a level whereby she is very influential and big brands such as Pepsi,MTN and Forte Oil signed her in multi-million Naira deals to be an ambassador.

Tiwa Savage has been consistent in churning out songs that get massive airplay such as without my heart, eminado, kele kele love, wanted, my darlin, Ife we gbona and has also featured on several artistes songs.

The singer who has also shown talent on Shuga series as an actress has bagged awards at the Headies, Nigerian entertainment awards, MTV awards, Channel O awards, Nigerian Music Video awards. She even got nominated at the MOBO awards and BET awards.

Tiwa A.K.A Doro Diva wed her manager Tunji Teebillz Balogun in a lavish Dubai wedding on April 26, 2014. The pair are expecting their first child together.
