The Future Awards Africa 2014 award ceremony took place at Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos on Sunday December 7, 2014.

The hosts of the show were Ice Prince and Flavia. Poet Titi  Shonugah stepped out and recited a poem called 'Have you seen Africa' which was an ode to the continent.

The award show began with Waje and popular actor OC Ukeje delivering a fantastic rendition of the Nigerian national anthem; both verse. Fast rising Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro stepped out alongside Mr Oreo; Iyanya looking breathtaking in the two backless dresses she wore on stage.

Oby Ezekwensili got on stage and spoke passionately about the missing Chibok girls, encouraging the audience not to give up in their campaign to find the missing girls

Asa performed songs off her Bed of Stone album in Nigeria for the first time. Things lightened up when ace Nigerian fashion designer Lanre DaSilva Ajayi and veteran ex-Super Eagles player Daniel Amokachi stepped up on stage and spoke about their on-going competition between fashion and football.

Comedian Bovi and marry me singer Falz got on stage and made the crowd go wild laughing heartily and then auctioned a Lanre DaSilva Ajayi  dress to support the #STOPEBOLA campaign. Blogger, Linda Ikeji made the highest bid of one million Naira for the dress. Th

Banky W and Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde motivated the audience to impact change on the political environment of Nigeria by voting in the upcoming elections. The award show finally ended with an energetic performance by Yemi Alade.

Other high profile guests included Minister of Youth Development, Boni Haruna representing President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Professor Pat Utomi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, CEO Sahara Group, Tonye Cole, Senator Femi Gbajabiamila, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Daniel Amokachi, Banky W, Zainab Balogun, Zina Anumudu, Bolanle Olukanni, Denola Grey, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Funke Akindele, Dakore Akande, Gideon Okeke, Vector, Oreka Godis,  DJ Caise, DJ Spinall, Timi Dakolo, Dakore Akande,  Toke Makinwa, Toolz, Lamide Akintobi, Seyi Shay, Uti Nwachukwu, Funke Bucknor- Obruthe ,Dotun and Freeze of COOL FM, Ebuka Uchendu, Wana Wana, Mo'Cheddah and several others.
