According to reports, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, 34, is hoping for a second chance with the pop star.

According to reports, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, 34, is hoping for a second chance with the pop star. Sources familiar with the situation claim the 'Southpaw' star is eager to make things right after the former couple broke up over the phone in December 2010.

Swift and Gyllenhaal began dating in November 2010 but split right before New Year's Eve. "He said he owed Taylor an apology for how things ended between them," a source told Star magazine.

"In June, Jake ran into [her pal] at The Graham Norton Show and asked for Taylor’s new number," the source revealed. And Taylor was into it, despite the fact that she's currently with Harris!
“They’ve kept in touch, albeit secretly, ever since," the source continued.
But things are different this time around. The blonde beauty is reportedly playing hard to get (maybe because she's currently in a relationship with DJ Calvin Harris?), so it looks like Jake has his work cut out for him!
