Singer welcomes 9th child

The singer got an early Christmas gift with the birth of his ninth child, Nia.

American musician and songwriter, Stevie Wonder, has welcomed his ninth child.

The 64-year-old music veteran singer and his girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy have welcomed a baby daughter named Nia. Nia will be the couple’s second together and Stevie Wonder’s ninth child. He has seven children from previous relationships.

Rumours emerged last month that the singer was expecting triplets from Tomeeka Robyn Bracy, but in an appearance on Stevie Wonder denied the reports and stated that he was expecting a baby and even announced the name.

“I got, how many, 22 kids? It's not true. The truth is we're going to have a wonderful daughter, born in December, [and her] name is going to be Nia, which [means] purpose,” he told the hosts of the show.
