The rapper made his intention to run for the position in the year '2025' known on Sunday, July 15, 2018, via a video on his Instagram page.
According to him, he won't be contesting in the upcoming 2019 election because his 'responsibility image isn't complete yet.' He says he needs a wife and children to become fully responsible.
From his declaration, it's clear Speed Darlington has got his dates mixed up as the next general election after 2019 will hold in 2023 and not 2025.
Even though this sounds hilarious, we can't wait to see the rapper kick-start his campaign and probably entertain us while he is at it. Another celebrity has also declared his intentions to run for the office of president in 2019 is Yul Edochie.
Speed Darlington isn't the only celebrity who wants to run for President

The actor turned politician took to his Instagram page on Monday, April 23, 2018, where he declared his intention. According to the actor, he wants to bring the problems of the country to the last bus stop.
"Today I declare my interest to run for President of the greatest country in the world, Nigeria. A blessed country that has been crippled by decades of bad leadership. Enough is Enough! Fellow Nigerians, stand with me let us bring the problems of our country to the THE LAST BUS STOP!!!" he wrote.
