After the mighty fall which left the singer's both legs hanging up and wide in the air, the 'Sacrifice' crooner quickly brushed himself off and got back to his feet.

Legendary pop star, Sir Elton John was left red-faced when he spectacularly fell backwards off his chair during a tennis event at London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday; in the presence of a host of sporting stars including John McEnroe, Martina Hingis and Heather Watson.

The 67-year-old singer seemed to be deep in thought as he sat down at the Statoil Masters event when the blunder happened, much to the delight of onlookers.

MailOnline reportes that he was watching Team Elton John take on Team Billie Jean King in a tennis exhibition event held to raise funds for his AIDS Foundation.

After the mighty fall which left the singer's both legs hanging up and wide in the air, the 'Sacrifice' crooner quickly brushed himself off and got back to his feet before watching his team suffer a 22-16 defeat. He was being helped up by stewards.
