Ex 'Transformers' star rushed to hospital

The ex 'Transformers' star sustained head injury on the set of his new movie 'American Honey' on Wednesday, June 24.

Shia LaBeouf has been rushed to a hospital in North Dakota after he sustained head injury on the set of his new movie 'American Honey' on Wednesday, June 24.

Sources tell TMZ that the 29-year-old actor was supposed to put his head through a glass window in one scene, but something went wrong and he cut the left side of his head and his right index finger.

A rep for the 'Transformers' actor tells the site, "Shia LaBeouf sustained minimal injuries late last night on the set of his current film, 'American Honey.' As protocol, production sought out medical attention and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head. He is due back on set [Thursday]."

Latest reports say Shia was sent home after receiving 20 stitches and 13 staples to his head and finger. He is scheduled to return filming on Thursday.
