See Fela Kuti's former love at The Shrine with Femi Kuti

We have gotten the first picture of Sandra Izsadore, the renowned black rights activist who greatly influenced Fela, at The Afrika Shrine.

Sandra Izsadore is in the country for this year's Felabration which kicks off tomorrow, Monday October 12, 2015. In the picture Sandra Izsadore can be seen with her husband and Femi Kuti.

The picture was shared by the official Instagram account of The Afrika Shrine. "FEMI KUTI WELCOMES SANDRA ISZADORE IN COMPANY OF HER HUSBAND TO THE NEW AFRIKA SHRINE" read the caption.

Sandra Izsadore will speak at Fela Debates alongside Ayo Obe, Kunle Ajibade and Chidi Odinkalu. She will be talking on the topic ‘Human Rights as My Property’.

Sandra Izsadore met Fela in 1969 in the city of Los Angeles. Fela will go on to cite her as a major influence in his pro-African beliefs and views. The two had an affair for a while.

In a rare move, Fela featured her on the song 'Upside Down'. Three years ago Sandra Izsadore released an album titled which features 9ice and Dakore Egbuson.
