Singer undergoes throat surgery
Sam Smith canceled his Australian tour in April 2015 due to bleeding in his throat.
The four-time Grammy winner made the announcement on his Instagram today, May 14. He posted a picture while in the hospital with the caption: ''Hospital Selfie''.
Earlier in the day, Smith posted another photo showing the character, 'Jazmin' from the animation 'Aladdin' receiving some magical powers via her mouth. He wrote underneath, ''About to have an operation. This is me today...''
The singer who has canceled couple of his shows in different cities this April due to vocal chord disabilities posted a photo of himself on May 13 informing fans he won't be able to speak again for the newt three weeks.
''Enjoying my last day of speaking,'' he said, ''After today, no speaking for three weeks. So if you see me on the streets sorry if you think I'm a dick head and can;t say hello. Also gonna be silent for my birthday. Sounds funny aye?''
Smith is joining superstars like Adele and Celine Dion to undergo such vocal chord surgeries.
