Here are some of the big stories concerning your favourite celebrities we followed during week.

Let's just say it was a week of achievements for some celebs who got degree certificates, while for others, it was more of "Watch your back" because their lives got threatened. At the end of the day, it just goes to say that, there is never a dull moment in the lives of these celebrities.

1. Juliet Ibrahim wants you all to stop pressuring people to get married

During the week, Juliet Ibrahim probably irritated by the pressure mounted on young folks to get married, came out to call out those spearheading it. The beautiful actress made this known via her Instagram page on Sunday, August 6, 2018. According to her, the pressure to get married should be stopped by people.

"Stop this habit of asking people to get married because their age-mates are married. Even you, some of your age mates have died but nobody has asked you to die.           ‍♀️, " she wrote.

2. Non-fan threatens to pour acid on Cee-C's face

Another big story of the week was the threat of CeeC's life by an unknown person. The angry and unknown person sent a mail to Cee-C where it was stated that she allegedly pays people to troll former housemates, Tobi and Alex. Then the non-fan went to write about how Cee-c should expect an acid bath when next she is spotted.

3. D'banj dedicates song to wife

Since the demise of his son, D'banj has kept a low profile which hasn't come as a surprise to many. However, this week, the music star woke fans up with a new song which he dedicated to his wife. The music star shared a snippet of the song on his Instagram page on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. D'banj went on to caption the short version of the song with a word of encouragement to his wife.

"Together We Will Pass Every Test That We Pass Through. This Is For You My ❤️#WhatYouWant #LetterToMyWife #Everything #MamaDaniel 8/8/18," he wrote.

4. Ghanaian actress, Princess Shyngle says sex on 1st date doesn't make you cheap

Another Ghanaian actress who was in the news during the week was Princess Shyngle for her view over sex on a first date. She said that she doesn’t see any big deal about having sex on the first date. To the actress, it is just relationship ‘interview’ and if you’re called back then you got the job.

Princess Shyngle made this assertion on Instagram as a caption to a photo she shared. The actress looked entirely voluptuous wearing a body-hugging dress with a bump bag across her slender waist.

5. Ella Mensah robbed at gunpoint in Festac

While one Ghanaian actress was talking about sex in a relationship, another one was thanking her lucky stars after getting robbed at a gunpoint in Festac. Ella made this known on her Instagram page on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Photos posted on her Instagram page shows how her car was vandalised during the process of the robbery.

6. Linda Ikeji honoured with doctorate degree

During the week, Linda Ikeji was honoured with a  doctorate degree from the Trinity International University of Georgia in the United States of America. The media mogul had announced via her Instagram page about the degree award ceremony. According to her, she would be honoured for her contribution to media in Africa and as Africa's Most Successful Blogger.

The award ceremony, however, took place later in the week with her mother and a number of notable Nigerian personalities in attendance.

7. Richard Mofe Damijo goes all inspirational on throwback Thursday

We always love it when celebrities share with us their throwback photos on social media. And that was the case when Nollywood icon, Richard Mofe Damijo shared a throwback photo to the time he had his traditional wedding.

In his message, RMD reminisces about the years that have followed since his wedding where he actually used a plastic bottle to serve his wife and how things have changed since then. He went to write about the advice he gives his kids about integrity over anything and the need for humble beginnings.

8. Toke Makinwa says marring for financial gains is lame

Toke Makinwa during the week dished advice to women who get married for financial gains as a lame move. The multi-talented media personality made this known via her Twitter page on Thursday, August 9, 2018. According to Toke, it i s lame for any woman to stay in a marriage for financial gains.

"Staying in a domestic marriage because of financial gain or the lies you tell yourself about surviving is lame, I’m yet to see anyone leave a bad situation do badly, it’s the fear that keeps you from your potential," she tweeted.
