The office accessory has been identified as one of the tactics the former professional actress used to conceal her pregnancy announced by the Kensington Palace on Monday, October 15, 2018.
This gave more credibility to the rumours that she was pregnant prior to the announcement. In Australia the demand for purple folders have improved since one was spotted with Markle.
"Her unlikely accessory has sent stationery lovers into a frenzy, with the purple folder having almost sold out across Officeworks stores nationwide," a spokeswoman for Australian outfit Officeworks told the Daily Mail.
A romantic gaze shared by the royal couple is perhaps one of the highlights of their tour of Australia. Both are credited for bringing rain to a park in Dubbo, one of the places they visited.
"As your royal highnesses are aware, our region has been hit by a terrible drought.
"So we’re very pleased that you can bring some of that English weather with you today, and hopefully it will bring some relief to the farming families," says Dubbo's Mayor Ben Shields in a report by Global News.
The duchess' good nature is a memory to be cherished by a farmer Elaine Woodley.
"When she heard she was coming to a family home, she had to bring a plate, so it was lovely."
