In an era where social media is very important to our stars, one would also believe music legends who've had careers spanning more than two decades would probably have the highest number of followers; but this list will shock you all.

Here is our list of ten music legends who have the most ridiculous number of followers on Twitter. Names that stars like Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus would not believe they are most famous than.

  1. Diana Ross: Looks Twitter doesn't 'Live In Her'. She's on 2,085 followers since joining in 2009.

  2. Lionel Richie: His music has ruled the R&B charts for decades but his Twitter followers probably fell off a cliff ever since. He has 209,000 followers since joining the site on November 2008.

  3. Michael Bolton: This man broke records with his hits back in the day but in this day, he has just 78,100 followers on Twitter since May 2009.

  4. Sting: You remember him? He did a song with Craig David, 'Flavour' but even at that, he's got only 417,000 followers since June 2012.

  5. Elton John: The British music icon joined Twitter on August 2009. He's got 457,000 followers ever since.

  6. Madonna: She's got '4 Minutes' to tell you about her but has just 677,000 followers to listen to her on Twitter. She joined in on March 2012.

  7. Paul McCartney: He's a legend on the popular 'FourFiveSeconds' with Rihanna and Kanye West but his 2.29 million followers are still to match his collaborators' 42.7M and 11.7M followers respectively. He joined in 2012.

  8. Dolly Parton: Her hit, 'I Will Always Love You' made the late Whitney Houston a legend but her Twitter followers managed to hit 3.49 million since joining on May 2008.

  9. Phil Collins: The popular veteran has sold millions of records and has hit number one countless times but only 70,200 followers want to know about it!

  10. Prince (Nelson Rogers): He is a legend in his own right. Someone Michael Jackson got some inspiration from but we're sorry to say he decided not have any followers on Twitter because he didn't bother to join in!
