Rapper Wale needs to be a man

Wale should leave the Internet trolls and focus more on his music.

American rapper, Wale

The Maybach Music rapper recently shared a screenshot of someone wishing him death on his Instagram. In the screenshot someone on Twitter wished that Wale had died in place of the music legend Prince.

Annoyed by this  Wale wrote “If I could do it all over again I soulda played football graduated college and been all the way behind the scenes. Then to wake up to this daily.” I feel his pain. It doesn’t make sense for someone to wish death on another person.

However Wale calls the hate on himself. He is too emotionally invested in responding to trolls on social media. Wale regularly goes off on people who diss or take shots at him on Twitter. He is too caught up in what people say about him instead of him doing good music.

Apart from focusing too much on trolls on his social media accounts Wale is known to be a grouch who likes to complain a lot. Before dropping his last album Wale complained that he wasn't getting enough recognition in the Unites States.

“I'm not trying to whine about being critically acclaimed or getting in the door, but it breaks my heart. Everyone says, ‘Be patient. It'll happen.’ But all signs are showing, ‘No, it won't happen.’ I'm okay with people not liking my music but provide an intelligent reason for why you like or don't like something or you're a hater or a dick-rider.

“This is my fourth album. I want some respect. I want to go to a party and not have Katy Perry tell her security to move me out of the fuckin' way. We do the same thing. I know there's no union in the music industry, but have some respect. I want people to be like, ‘Your album's just as good as Kendrick [Lamar]'s or Esperanza Spalding or Beck.’ I work just as hard as them” Wale told Billboard in March 2015.

Wale should be grateful for the career he has. He is up there with the big rappers in America. We all have different paths in this life. Maybe Wale’s path is longer and he has to grind harder than others to get recognized. This does not mean he shouldn't appreciate what he has achieved.

One time Kid Cudi complained that Wale was acting grouchy at GQ Magazine shoot. Wale is infamous for his mood swings. One time he threatened Complex Magazine for not listing his album as one of the best albums of the year.

A star shouldn't be too emotional. Feelings are not bad but when the feelings get too much one can lose focus of what really matters. Wale should put more time in his craft instead of complaining. Maybe then he can become the big music star he so desires.
