People should leave Tee Billz, Tiwa Savage alone

While we are joking about their misfortunes we should remember that Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz are going through difficult times.

Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz

Some things are too personal and painful to write about. The crack in Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz's marriage is one of them.

I waited for 24 hours before I wrote on the ugly drama that happened yesterday (Thursday, April 28, 2016). My gut reaction is still the same I have right now. In this moment where personal details have been unfortunately exposed the Baloguns need to be left alone to deal with their issues privately.

I have never been married before but I do know that a love relationship between a man and a woman has its difficult times. For Tiwa and Tee Billz these times will be even harder because they are public figures.

Whatever the Baloguns are going through, I refuse to judge or place blames. I don't have the full picture of what is going on so I can't speak or write on the matter. Even if I do I would rather stay silent and let the couple handle their problems. Who am I to judge anyone or write about them in this moment of pain for them?

From Tee Billz's meltdown and suicide attempt yesterday it is obvious to deduce that he is dealing with a serious bout of depression. For anyone who has dealt with depression you know it is no joke. It's a matter of life and death. I have dealt with depression before and I know it is not to be taken lightly.

We can bash Tee Billz with our witty Twitter jokes and memes but this won't help his situation. It would worsen it. What Tee Billz needs right now is privacy, words of encouragement and counselling to deal with his depression. I don't see the point of mocking a man who was seriously contemplating death, I really don't see the point. It is in such a time like this that makes one believe that social media is a soulless place where people laugh at your pain.

Yesterday I saw stupid jokes about Tiwa Savage in relation to Tee Billz's allegation that she slept with some artistes. The annoying thing is that people don't even know the true facts. On Twitter people are just composing stupid tweets just to look cool and dragging people and families into some unnecessary mess.

For the blogs and sites it is time to act responsibly and not start digging for malicious stories and gossip to further open the wounds of Tee Billz and Tiwa Savage.

It is time for us to leave the Baloguns alone and let them deal with their issues in private.
