Is this the end of Johnny Depp?

For all of Johnny Depp's immense talents he has found himself at the bottom of his career.

Last week Johnny Depp's wife Amber Heard filed for divorce based on accusations of domestic violence. She was granted a temporary restraining order last week from a judge until the next hearing. Heard appeared in court with a black eye and claimed Depp had assaulted her.

She went on to provide evidence, photos of her with bruises which she says were inflicted by the star actor. In her sworn declaration she said Johnny Depp allegedly hit her with a cellphone, pulled her hair, and hit her repeatedly.

"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me” Amber Heard wrote in the sworn declaration. “I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him.”

“I live in fear that Johnny will return to (our house) unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally" she further wrote.

Johnny Depp has however defended himself from these accusations. The statement by his lawyer simply said "Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse."

The actor's first wife Lori Anne Allison has come out to defend Depp. According to her the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star is not a woman beater. In a handwritten letter she wrote "Johnny Depp is the father of my two children, he is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations being made are outrageous."

For Johnny Depp these are indeed tough times. 13 years ago he appeared as Captain Jack Sparrow for the first time and it marked his entrance into the Hollywood elite. Depp has always been a good actor with great movies such as Edward Scissorshands but with the success of Pirates of the Caribbean he became a bankable star.

In 2016 Depp is a shadow of himself. Many of his movies have been failures that is mind bugling to discover that he is still being approached for movies. Now with these domestic violence allegations against him Depp's stock in Hollywood has hit an all time low.

Is this the end for Johnny Depp? One hopes not, he is a very talented actor but with his career slump and domestic issues it might be hard for him to get back to the top.
