Orbeat produced Burna Boy’s hit single ‘Soke’, and latest single ‘Acting Bad’. Burna Boy reportedly released the new single without paying for the producer’s services.

An angry Orbeat took to Twitter to air his grievance. “I've not been fully paid for the work I put in @burnaboy's album. And u disrespect me by dropping that song without consulting with me” he tweeted.

Burna Boy responded to his producer’s claims in tweets that were later deleted. He used the words ‘crack head’ and ‘thief’ to describe Orbeat.

No one doubts Burna Boy’s talent. He is one talented dude but his controversies have dimmed his gift lately. This year, in February a TV presenter Krystn Enemblasted Burna Boy for not showing up for an interview that has been re-scheduled several times to fit his demands.

In November 2015, Burna Boy and his entourage were involved in a scuffle with a man in Lekki over a road accident. The controversies go on and on if we decide to look further into the singer’s past.

Talent is one thing and managing fame is another. Obviously Burna Boy sucks at the latter. Since he broke through with his 2012 smash hit ‘Like To Party’ Burna Boy has stumbled into one mess or the other.

Indiscipline has led to the ruin of many artistes. The difference between stars who have been around for a while and those who faded too fast is discipline. Burna Boy needs to know that all the dramas he has been involved can prematurely kill his career. As a matter of fact the intensity and quality of his songs have reduced over the years.

If Burna Boy wants to be a legend like he truly craves he needs to do all his best to avoid controversy. The change has to start from him. He should start acting mature and professional.

Obviously those around Burna Boy don’t have his best interests at heart. Burna needs to clear all the yes-men around him and get people who can give him solid advice. Although getting these people is one thing and listening to them is another thing entirely. Burna's mind state needs to change for the better.

I know Burna Boy’s image is all about being controversial. Being controversial and mindlessly stepping into controversies are two entire things. Seun Kuti is controversial but it is hard to see his name being mentioned in sensational and sleazy headlines. There is a huge difference.

Instead of Burna Boy responding publicly to the producer’s accusations he should have settled things indoors. As a matter of fact if Burna Boy was professional this problem shouldn't have come up.

Burna Boy is talented but he needs the grace to handle his God given talent.
