5 rising female stars who will be big in next 5 years

In this new Pulse List, we highlight five talented female celebrities that will be superstars in the next five years.

Adesua Etomi

1) Lala Akindoju

Lala started acting in the year 2005, and so far she has been in over 70 stage and film productions. The actress has a Masters Degree in Media and Communication from the Pan-African University.

During the London Olympics in 2012 Lala Akindoju was part of actors who performed at the Theatre Royale Stratford East as part of the cultural events at the cultural Olympiad.

Lala Akindoju recently acted in the Nollywood movie . At the AMVCA 2016 Lala Akindoju won the Trail Blazer award. This award highlights the fact that Lala is a rising star. Five years from now it is more than likely that Lala will be one of the biggest actresses in the industry.

2) Adesua Etomi

At the AMVCA 2016 Adesua Etomi beat Nollywood queenGenevieve Nnaji to win the Best Actress category. This surely stamps her rising superstardom status.

Adesua is from Edo state, and studied  Physical Theatre, Musical Theatre and Performing Arts, at the City College, Coventry, United Kingdom. Adesua Etomi is also a graduate of Drama and Performance at the University of Wolverhampton.

She started acting at the age of 7 when she joined the drama club at her primary school, Corona, Victoria Island, Lagos.

When she came back to Nigeria she acted like in several stage plays like .

In 2014 she acted in her first Nollywood movie ''.

3) Simi

The lovely Simi is another starlet heading for greatness. The singer Simisola Ogunleye wrote her first song at the age of 10. She was an active member of the teens choir in Day Star. In 2008 she released her debut album '' in 2008 produced by Samklef.

Six years later she would sign to X3M Music based off the strength of her mixtape. Simi has been able to release successful singles such as 'Tiff', 'Jamb Question' and 'Open & Close'.  Her sophomore album is highly anticipated.

4) Stephanie Coker

The 26-year-old MTV Base VJ is poised to become one of the biggest female media celebrities within the next 5 years. Born in Lagos but raised in the United Kingdom Stephanie Coker graduated from the  Brunel University with a degree in Media and Communications.

After moving back to Nigeria in 2011, Stephanie Coker landed a job as the anchor of the MTV Base request show ''.  She is now a regular face on MTV Base. In January this year Stephanie Coker released her own line of braids.

5) Kiki Omeili

Kiki Omeili was born in the city of Lagos, and is the second of four kids.

Omeili started acting in stage plays in primary and secondary schools. Kiki joined the drama club when she got enrolled in the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

A few years ago she played the role of Debbie in 'Behind The Smile' a TV series. The following year she starred in the movie'.

In 2012, she received the award for the 'Best Actress (Supporting Role in an English language film)' at the 17th African Film Awards.
