As the British royals and the world prepare for the christening of Princess Charlotte, the newborn daughter of Britain’s Prince William and his wife, Kate, more facts have emerged on possible reasons for the choice of church and christening venue.

Sources claimed that Princess Charlotte's christening has been scheduled to hold as a private ceremony on July 5, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalene Church on Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, on England’s eastern coast.

Interestingly, Charlotte’s late grandmother, Princess Diana, was christened at the same church exactly 54-years ago when she was born in 1961.

It was gathered that Diana’s family had close ties with the royal family, thus, she was born on the Queen's sprawling Sandringham estate.

Information has it that Justin Welby, the archbishop of Canterbury, will conduct the ceremony.
