Chris Rock at the 2016 Oscars

Chris Rock, who was the host of the 2016 Oscars made the night quite memorable as he treated most of the Oscars 2016 attendants to some cookies. They weren't free though.

The host used the platform to sell his daughters' Girls' Scout cookies, which received the patronage of the hungry stars, successfully raising a sum of $65, 243.

Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Charlize Theron and Kate Winslet were some of the stars spotted snacking on the cookies.

Rock used some cunning means to get the attention of the stars, forcing them on a guilt trip.

He said, "I’ve been away from my two daughters at a very important time in their life,' he said, adding, 'I have missed most of Girl Scout cookie season,

"Last night Zahra, my youngest called me up and said, "Daddy how come we never sell the most cookies? How come Mrs. Dunn wins every year?,

"It would mean so much to my little girl if we could beat Linda Dunn.' he said.

"I want you to reach into your millionaire pockets and buy some of my daughters' Girl Scout cookies,' he announced as a photo of his girls flashed up behind him.

"Alright, Tina Fey, get that money, girl. Charlize Theron, yes. Matt Damon, yes. Leo, you made $30 million—come on!'
