Top British actor, Orlando Bloom was sent out of India for having a fake visa, new reports claim.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star was due to visit India on Saturday, December 19, to promote tourism in the country — but his arrival didn't go exactly as planned.  Bloom ended up being deported from the country after arriving in Delhi at 1:30 a.m. without a valid visa.

According to the Economic Times of India reports, the 38-year-old actor discovered on arrival that the e-visa he had applied for back in November had in fact been rejected. He was deported back to Britain at 4:00 a.m. The following day, after the intervention of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, he was eventually granted a legal visa.

Politician Amar Singh, who is hosting Bloom in the country, told the outlet that the actor had no idea his e-visa was not in order.

"He had applied for an e-visa and didn't get a reply. His office thought that he would get the visa on arrival," Singh explained. He added that Bloom was feeling unwell when he arrived, but despite a doctor advising he be admitted to hospital for a stomachache, he was sent back to the U.K. on the next flight.

Having secured a new, legal visa, Miranda Kerr's ex returned to Delhi's Indira Gandhi airport on Sunday, December 20, when he was, finally admitted into the country.
