Olamide visits Sanwo-Olu with YBNL crew

YBNL boss, Olamide has visited the APC governorship aspirant, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to endorse his candidacy.

Sanwo-Olu played host to the rapper and members of the YBNL crew ahead of the governorship campaign kick-off in Lagos.

In a tweet on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Sanwo-Olu promise to include the media and entertainment sector in his plans to take Lagos to a greater height should he win the governorship elections.

He said “@olamide_YBNL stopped by the office today for a visit with the YBNL crew. It was a good visit. Media and entertainment will not be left out in our plans of taking Lagos to a greater height.”

Olamide's political affiliation with APC

For over five years, Olamide has pitched his tent with the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC.

His political affiliation with the ruling party had been in existence when the APC was the leading opposition party in Nigeria.

In 2015, Olamide and Don Jazzy led an array of music stars that performed at the campaign rallies of the political party.

He publicly campaigned for the political party and went further to campaign for the party using his social media accounts.

Relationship with Fashola

The rapper had openly confessed his love and support for former Lagos state governor and current minister for Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.

The strength of Olamide's relationship with Fashola was made public when the ex-governor attended the naming ceremony of the YBNL boss' first son, Milliano Adedeji.

Relationship with Governor Ambode

In 2015, Olamide led the train of Nigerian music stars that endorsed the candidacy of governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

He was a vocal supporter of the governor and maintained that his relationship with the outgoing governor surpasses politics.

In his verse on Phyno's song, 'Fada Fada,' Olamide said governor Ambode adopted him as a son after he lost his biological father and life has since remained blissful.

Olamide lend his voice to the second term ambition of Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Olamide had always displayed his affection for Governor Ambode as well as his policies in Lagos state since 2015.

Relationship with Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Olamide readily boasts of having the ears of the national leader of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Borgu.

The rapper had been spotted at campaign rallies with the political giant and during some occasional private visits.

In Ycee's 'Jagaban remix' featuring Olamide, the father of one bragged about meeting Tinubu in his living room.

In the song, He said he is now being referred to a Jagaban because he is connected with the people who know the real Jagaban. He went further to say he chills inside the living room of Jagaban and performed at campaign rallies with Jagaban.
