Friends and family have taken it upon themselves to help make her life easy and have begun a Gofundme page for her.
Now the radio host has written a thank you message to supporters.
''The past year has been an interesting one... Learning to live life a different way, the extreme highs and extreme lows, daily trips to the hospital, waking up with a new symptom almost every day, getting close to giving up then finding random pockets of strength I didn't know I had.
Yesterday, I learnt a new lesson... That it's possible to receive kindness and generosity so intense that you just break down in tears because you'd thought the battle was lost. To each person who's sent up a prayer on my behalf, I say thank you. For each donation of money, time, social media posts, I thank you. May God bless us all and send us helpers in our times of need. Thank you.''
