As we celebrate the life of late singer Nomoreloss we remember the time he saved the life of music producer OJB Jezreel.
“God willing, I have like eight to ten weeks more to get the transplant done. It’s strange, I still walk around a little. I can’t eat much though. I trust God and Nigerians for their financial support” said the famous producer who has worked with the likes of 2face Idibia and Ruggedman.

Thankfully OJB Jezreel’s life was spared as he was able to pay for his treatment in India. The man behind the campaign to save the producer’s life was Nomoreloss.
The ‘Ololufe’ singer was at the forefront of the fund raising campaign to save OJB’s life. It was a job he did with passion and energy. He rallied for funds and went on to TV to speak about the producer’s plight.
As the chairperson of the OJB Donation Committee Nomoreloss was able to raise $100,000 for the producer. In his quest to save the life of his friend Nomoreloss went against a lot of Nigerian celebrities who claimed they had donated to OJB.
He famously blasted pop singer D’banj for falsely claiming that he paid N7m to OJB’s account on Twitter.
“Sometimes silence is consent...Dapo set the records straight @iamdbanj” he tweeted at the entertainer. Ironically before travelling to the United Kingdom, D’banj had worked with OJB on his debut single “Kiss me quick” featuring Ruggedman.
Nomoreloss also went on to bash Nigerian celebrities who falsely claimed that they had donated towards the campaign. In doing so he made a few enemies among Nigerian celebrities for exposing their false claims.
When popular Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim made claims that $100,000 was too much for OJB Jezreel’s surgery in India, Nomoreloss challenged her.

The both of them met on air at NTA 2 Channel 5 where they trashed the issue. After appearing on air, the two of them made up. Nomoreloss had a kind and friendly spirit. He hardly kept grudges.
Thanks to his drive and determination OJB’s life was saved. The music producer flew out to India in August 2013.
In a sick twist of fate, Nomoreloss who practically saved a man’s life a couple of years ago is the man we are now saying goodbye to.
His effort and calling out of celebrities will forever be immortalized in the song ‘Human Being’ by M.I featuring 2face and Sound Sultan.
“And someone help me tell Mr. no more loss/When OJB was sick, it was hurting all of us/Sometimes, even artiste(s) don’t have dough on us/Cos we sef we be human being o” rapped M.I on the song off his 2015 album ‘Chairman’.
Yesterday (Monday, March 21, 2016) Nomoreloss was snatched by the cold hands of death. There has been a large outpouring of grief from his friends and fans. Besides being a great singer and songwriter he was also a compassionate human being.
