"My twins with Mariah Carey will have two homes"

Nick just got a new home in Jersey and has confirmed his son and daughter will grow up in two separate homes

Nick Cannon and Mariah Careys marriage is over but his 3-year-old twins - Moroccan and Monroe - he shares with his ex will have to deal with the separation in the best way possible.

During the Launch of his new children's book, 'Neon Aliens Ate My Homework', at St. Mary's Hospital for Children in NYC, March 18, the actor admitted his kids will learn to live with both their mom and dad.

"My kids kind of get to experience both worlds. They get Manhattan and a little bit of Jersey," he told Us Weekly.

Nick recently purchased a property in the Garden State in New Jersey following his split from his wife last year.

"Yeahhh, I'm having fun there. I'm getting to know the neighborhood. It's really cool. I mean, it’s another area for family. To be able to have a lawn and a lake in the back - stuff like that. I grew up in the projects, so I didn’t really get the opportunity to have any of that growing up," he told Us.

The America's Got Talent host and his 3-year-old twins previously lived with Carey in her undefined (famously featured in a classic episode of MTV's Cribs back in the day), which includes a direct view of the Empire State Building.

Cannon said, however, that he was drawn to the greenery surrounding his new suburban digs.
