British super model Naomi Campbell has been sentenced to a six-month suspended prison sentence after she was found guilty of assaulting an photographer.

The legal tussle started since 2009 when Gaetano Di Giovanni, a photographer who was taking pictures of the super model and Vladimir Doronin. During the alleged attack Di Giovanni claimed that Campbell scratched his eye when her bag struck him.

According to reports Giovanni needed three days to recover, and required medical attention. Campbell and the photographer reached a settlement but the judge decided to push the case forward due to the nature of injuries. The judge also felt it was in the best interest of the public.
