The actress who revealed she met her husband, a childhood friend, at 14 got married traditionally to her husband, Victor Tonye Coker February 20, 2016, in a grand ceremony in the popular city of Port Harcourt.

Monalisa was formerly married to Segun Dejo-Richard and their marriage crashed in 2009 following domestic abuse. They had a child together.
