Singer's husband wants spousal support for divorce
Kendu Isaacs, Mary J. Blige's estranged husband is demanding for spousal support and also wants her to pay his legal fees.

On July 29, 2016, Mary J. Blige released a statement about her divorce. "Ms Blige is saddened to say [that] it is true that she has filed for divorce, saying sometimes things don't work how we hoped they would... but, there is a divine plan and a reason for everything.

"Mary will continue writing and working on her album, which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time."
The news of the divorce filing came as a shock to many considering the kind of history the pair share. The couple were married for 12 years after tying the knot in December 2003 but have no kids together.
On Tuesday, July 26, Mary J Blige, 45, cited irreconcilable differences and listing the date of separation as "to be determined" when she filed for divorce.
According to TMZ, she also requested that Isaacs should not receive spousal support.
