Lamar Odom could face legal problems if and when he wakes up from that hospital bed. According to the Nye County sheriff, the NBA star may be charged for cocaine possession after he recovers from unconsciousness.

Lamar was found unresponsive at a Nevada brother on Tuesday, October 13. While Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof claimed Odom had only been taking an herbal substitute for Viagra, it’s since been said that cocaine was found in the star’s system as he underwent hospital tests. He remains hospitalized in Las Vegas, where he is reportedly on life support.

At the press conference on Wednesday, October 14, Sheriff Sharon Wehrly said Odom had taken “up to 10″ sexual enhancement tablets, but also revealed a 911 call made by a Love Ranch staffer in which it was said he had also used cocaine on Saturday. It was not clear if that use had continued, but Wehrly said Odom had blood coming from his nose and mouth in addition to a white substance.

Under the power of a warrant, a blood sample was taken from Odom on Wednesday and will now be tested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police lab. If positive, Odom could face charges.

Sheriff Wehrly has also not ruled out the possibility that Odom’s health crisis is the result of a suicide attempt, but did not outline any evidence as to why, and the investigation is ongoing. It was previously reported that Odom had likely overdosed accidentally.

As we already noted, Lamar’s estranged wife Khloe Kardashianremains at his bedside, along with Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, and now Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian as well. Kardashian flew out Odom’s father Joe and his two teenage children, Destiny and Lamar Jr., from New York on Wednesday to join the vigil.
