Americans Call TV Star "Useless Bimbo" Over Midterm Elections

The 34-year-old was accused of misunderstanding the midterm elections. Kim was instantly mocked for her post, with Twitter users explaining that Obama is clearly not on the ballot for Tuesday's midterms.

Kim Kardashian posted a cartoon image of herself with President Barack Obama on Instagram & Twitter Monday night, writing: "I’m standing w Obama in the midterm election 2morrow!' despite him not being up for re-election."

But the 34-year-old star was accused of misunderstanding the midterm elections. Kim was instantly mocked for the post, with Twitter users explaining that Obama is clearly not on the ballot for Tuesday's midterms. Some users labelled Kim an 'airhead' while another called her a 'useless bimbo' as they assumed Kim was encouraging her Twitter followers to vote for the President. However, others pointed out that perhaps Kim's tweet meant she was 'standing' with Obama in voting along Democratic party lines (despite the fact that in 2002 she appeared to back Republican hopeful Rick Santorum).

Either way, Kim did not respond to her critics, or clarify the assumption that she had misunderstood the midterms. Instead, on Tuesday she encouraged her 25 million followers: "Today is the day! Go out and vote!"

Her being on #TeamObama came as a shocker to many especially after Obama famously criticized Kim and her husband Kanye West as 'bad influences' in a speech at Tennessee back in 2013.

“The American dream involved some pretty basic stuff, a good job where you felt some security, a good education.... I think there has also been a shift in culture...There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success."

Obama also made another famous dig at Kanye back in 2009, after he called him a 'jackass' for interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the VMAs.

Again, in her interview with British GQ in September, Kim said: "I see no reason why the president of the Unites States would comment about pop culture".

Just months after she's 'standing' by him and the Democrats for the midterm elections...or so she had intended!
