"Kim Kardashian is no gold digger, She's dated broke black dudes"

During his powerful speech about racism & interracial marriage at BET Honors 2015, Kanye paid tribute his his wife Kim for chosing him, despite his race, to spend the rest of her life with.

While accepting his Visionary Award at the BET Honors 2015 in Washington, January 24, Kanye West cleared the air about flying rumors of his wife Kim Kardashian marrying him for his money. He said, "it got nothing to with the money."

The 'Gold Digger' crooner referred to his 2009 hit song which featured Jamie Foxx, and appreciated Kim for deciding to marry him in an era where white girls are believed to chase only 'rich' black dudes. He said:

'But I wanna say that my wife has dated broke black dudes. It got nothing to do with the money.'

Kanye also spoke about the stigma following interracial relationships in America giving his experience as a young boy.

'At the barbershop... I used to hear people always talking about, "Man you know when an entertainer get on, of course you know he gon' go and get a white girl and blah blah blah and a white girl gon' get a rich black dude."

The rapper further referenced a meeting with the leader of the religious group Nation of Islam - Louis Farrakhan Muhammad, Sr. - where Kanye said it was 'groundbreaking' to see his reaction to his relationship with a woman 'not of color' reports Jezebel.

Kanye also revealed how Kim's late father Robert Kardashian Snr. had predicted that Kim may one day 'have a black child'. He said Robert told Kim: 'One day, you may have a black child…a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful black child…and it’s gonna be hard. You’re gonna see how hard it is.'

Kanye's speech was key on racism, interracial relationships and his music vision.
