Music icon, Joni Mitchell is currently receiving treatment at a Los Angeles hospital after the paramedic got a 911 call from her home on March 31.

The 71-year-old singer and songwriter was rushed to the hospital onMarch 31 after being found unconcious in her Los Angeles home.

According to medical reports, the 911 call was for an unresponsive female even though she was awake on her way to the medical center.
TMZ reports that Mitchell was in intensive care late Tuesday and it's unclear what prompted the medical emergency, but it appears to be quite serious.
Mitchell is best known for her hit, 'Big Yellow Taxi' ... which the Counting Crows famously covered in 2002.
In 1997,she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
