Estranged couple settle divorce case

According to earlier reports, the pair had been lining up a witness list in anticipation of their court date, following stories of domestic violence against the actress.

Amber Heard has reportedly terminated her domestic violence restraining order against actor, Johnny Depp, who she accused of assaulting her during their relationship.

Both released a joint statement on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, burying the hatchet concerning what has been a tumultuous experience for them.

According to TMZ, Depp allegedly agreed to make payment in the sum of $7 million to the actress, who revealed that the amount will be donated to charity.

“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love,”

“Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future."

"Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity. There will be no further public statements about this matter”, the statement read.

It was gathered in earlier reports that the pair had been lining up witnesses in anticipation of their court date.

Heard seemed the victim in the matter following news that Depp brutally assaulted her repeatedly in the presence of close friends.
