Harry Potter actor, John Hurt is currently battling with pancreatic cancer after been diagnosed at an early stage.

Confirming he's currently undergoing treatment, the 75-years old said he's more than optimistic about a satisfactory outcome, as indeed is the medical team. on BBC on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.

Furthermore, Hurt isn't planning on halting his career or work schedule as he's undergoing treatment whilst working on the set of some upcoming movies and expected to star in a new movie,

Hurt was knighted in 2014 by Queen Elizabeth II for his brilliant role as Mr Ollivander, the magic wand maker in Harry Potter movies and some of his major roles include gay-rights advocate Quentin Crisp in The Naked Civil Servant, Alien and , for which he was Oscar-nominated.
