US politician Mike Huckabee calls rapper a pimp, calls diva's music 'trash'

In his new book, 'God, Guns, Grits and Gravy', presidential candidate Huckabee called out the hip-hop duo for their on-stage sexual gyrations and explicit lyrics, and slams the Obamas for their close relationship with the A-list couple.

Former governor Mike Hukabee has slammed music royal couple, Beyonce and Jay Z for encouraging bad conduct into the lives of youths in his new book, 'God, Guns, Grits and Gravy' due on shelves on January 20.

According to the Baptist-minister-turned Fox News host, who is also running for president under the Republicans, the 'Holy Grail' rapper is a pimp who 'exploits his wife as a sex object?'

Hukabee didn't end there, he also slammed Beyonce's music which he referred to as 'that trash' and further blasted the Obamas for allowing their daughters listen to Bey:

'How can it be that the let and listen to that trash?' the onetime Arkansas governor-turned-Fox News host asks. 'Apparently they do.'

'Beyonce is incredibly talented – gifted, in fact,' the former Baptist minister writes. 'She has an exceptional set of pipes and can actually sing. She is a terrific dancer – without the explicit moves best left for the privacy of her bedroom.'

'Jay Z is a very shrewd businessman,' Huckabee goes on, 'but I wonder: Does it occur to him that he is arguably crossing the line from husband to pimp by exploiting his wife as a sex object?'

DailyMail reports that Huckabee's weekend Fox News show has positioned him as a conservative culture warrior who may find it difficult to attract an audience in an increasingly secular America.

And nowhere in his book is the culture war between the coasts and 'flyover country' more present than in his backhand dismissals of Jay Z and Beyonce.

Hukabee was governor for Arkansas from 1996 to 2007 and won the Iowa Caucuses in 2008 along with five Super Tuesday primaries
