Zimmerman, who calls the weapon, "American Firearm Icon" has listed the Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm on GunBroker.com for what's touted as a single-day auction on Thursday, May 12. Bidding starts at $5,000!
"I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American Firearm Icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012," Zimmerman's listing on the site states.
As earlier reported, Zimmerman was acquitted of murdering an unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon in 2014.
Now, he claims the money gotten from the sale will be used to oppose Hillary Clinton's campaign, and to fight what he calls Black Lives Matter fueled "violence against Law Enforcement officers."
"The gun is a piece of American History," Zimmerman says.
