Rapper's girlfriend to appear in court over murder charges

According to South Africa Press Association, ( Sapa)  Sindisiwe Precious Manqele is currently in police custody. She was arrested in connection with Flabba, real name Nkululeko Habedi's death yesterday.

Flabba's 26-year old girlfriend who is alleged to have stabbed him to death is expected to appear in court on March 16.

Manqele appeared at the Alexandra magistrate court today and is facing murder charges. A limping Manxele showed the court that she too had apparently been injured, she pointed to a wound on her stomach, bruises to her body and bandaged wrists.

Through her lawyer, Manqele told the court she was in great pain. The magistrate agreed to her being examined by a private doctor. She will return to court on 16 March and appeal for bail. The state is expected to oppose this.

Manqele was taken into police custody after she was found with Flabba at the time of his death. He sustained a single stab wound to the heart and was declared dead at his Alexandra home.

Manqele who is Flabba'a partner is suspected to have engaged in a lover's quarrel with the Sama award winning star before allegedly stabbing him. The incident took place at 2am, police were called in at 4am with the emergency services arriving to collect his body at 8am.

According to EyeWitness News, Manqele attempted suicide. Luyanda Habedi, Flabba's young cousin says he found her hunched over the body, screaming 'help me, help me.' When she realised he was dead, she took a beer bottle and tried to cut her wrists. Luyanda explains that paramedics bandaged her wrists and she was then removed from the scene by police.
