Rapper hit with $8m lawsuit for copyrights infringement

American rapper, Eminem, has been sued by another rapper who claims that Marshal Matters sampled his song without his permission.

Ramond Jones, a rapper from the group Hotstylez claims Eminem sampled his song “Lookin Boy” in his “Rap God” record without his permission and has now sued the rapper. Raymond Jones wants $8m compensation from Eminem and his record label as he claims his song was sampled on “Rap God” for 25 seconds.

According to , the songs sound similar and Eminem has not reacted to the allegation.

This legal case comes more than a year after Eminem released the song as one of the singles to promote his eight studio album The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
