A man and a woman have been killed at Drake’s OVO Festival after-party at Muzik in Toronto after 'sporadic' shooting. Three others have been injured also.

The sporadic shooting occurred before 3:30 am this morning (August 4) the Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen, of 14 Division told the press. The shooting began inside the night club Muzik Nightclub before it spilled on the streets.

One victim died on the spot while the other was pronounced dead at the hospital. The police say the event was well organized and the shooting happened after the party was over. "We’re satisfied at this point that the organization involved was doing their best and this did occur at 3:30 this morning as things were shutting down for the evening" said Bergen.

"What occurred originally in the bar area had spilled out into the streets so south and north of this area we do have three separate crimes scenes. At this point we do know for certain that one or two [shootings] were in the nightclub and we believe the others  were outside of that area. This is all unfolding now and we’re doing our investigation” said the Toronto Police Superintendent.

The after-party was hosted by Drake and the music was supplied by Charlie B. The party started at 10:00pm.

The Homicide department is now carrying on an investigation on the murders and shooting.
