The resort was developed in the 1920s for heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post but was bought by Trump in 1985 for his ex-wife Ivana.

The tycoon has said he intends spending a great deal of time at the resort which houses expensive furniture from around the world.

A peek into the estate shows oil paintings, chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and antique four posted beds.

The 17-acre country club is described as the center of the Palm Beach social scene.
