Singer impresses World Bank boss, Jim Young Kim

D'Banj joined top international stars in promoting agriculture in Africa as well as ending poverty in the continent after joining the ONE campaign.

Nigerian singer, D'Banj's activities in joining forces with international stars to see to the end of poverty in Africa as well as promoting agriculture, has earned him thumbs up from the president of World Bank, Jim Young Kim.

According to the banking guru’s post on Facebook, Yong Kim commended the singer for his activities in using his star power to bring attention to serious development issues in Africa such as investment in Agriculture and ending poverty.

In the words of Yong Kim, ‘I had the pleasure of meeting D’banj last month and seeing him perform. I’m thrilled he is the first artists to take part in our new Music4Dev series encouraging global artist to raise awareness about poverty and related issues.'
