Actor gets 30 days in jail for violating parole
The actor is set to spend six months in a residential rehab program, in order to curb against his addiction to drugs, something that has been hard for him to stop.
According to Us Magazine, a judge sentenced the actor to jail after he was tested positively for the use of marijuana.
His THC level was reported to have increased on a weekly basis.
Apart from the jail term, the actor is to spend six months in a residential drug rehab program, aimed at helping his drug addiction.
In an apparent move for clemency, Short’s lawyer told the court that the actor had lost his sister to heart failure the week before his sentencing.
This however did not affect the court decision on the matter.
Short is popular for his role as Harrison Wright in ABC drama series, 'Scandal'. He left the programme after just three series.
He has starred in Hollywood movies like 'Stomp the Yard', 'Armored' and 'The Losers'.
