Chris Brown will not be charged for allegedly beating up a guy at a basketball game in Las Vegas on Monday, May 4, because the victim has dropped the charges.

The alleged victim contacted the police and dropped the claims without any explanation on Tuesday, May 5.

We earlier reported that the singer allegedly punched a man after a brawl broke out during a pick up game at the Palms Casino Resort, where he lodged on Monday.

TMZ reported that Chris was offered two options: sign a citation for misdemeanor battery, show up in court and face the charge; or let the district attorney decide what charges to press.

Well, with these charges dropped, the singer can indeed celebrate his birthday in peace. He turned 26 on May 5.

Happy Birthday Breezy!
